In São Paulo: gray sky, sidewalks colored with Bayferrox® pigments.

Interlocked floors have been used in various parts of the world for decades and have already conquered Brazilian cities such as São Paulo, Blumenau and Jundiaí.

Pigmented with LANXESS’ Bayferrox®,  interlocked  floors are also conquering São Paulo and are conquering sidewalks and squares of this city know for its magnitude and gray color.

People who walk on the street may see the sidewalks renewed by the  "Programa Calçadas (Passeio Livre) of the São Paulo City Hall", which began in 2005 with the decree that regulated the standardization of the city’s sidewalk and literally foresees the obstacle-free pavement for everyone, including wheelchair users. 

The new look, with the interlocked floors colored with Bayferrox® in shades of red and gray does not only makes sidewalk more beautiful, but they also  delimitate the crosswalks required by the new paving regulations. 

In addition to being easy to place, the interlocked floors allow water penetration because they are just fitted; this makes subsoil repairs easier after their placement. The use of interlocked floors facilitates traffic signaling projects with color combinations, in addition to allowing the development of playful and creative spaces.
