Forum Colored Concrete Works
São Paulo – LANXESS Inorganic Pigments promotes forum to discuss the main advantages and new technology in colored concrete.
LANXESS has held the "1st Colored Concrete Works Forum" –
– an event focusing on colored concrete and the opportunities high performance Bayferrox® pigments provide for such applications. Coloring concrete is an increasing trend in modern architecture. At the forum, which was held on Wednesday (15th of September) at the Renaissance hotel in São Paulo, international case studies, the technology involved and advantages of colored concrete were presented.
Designed for architects, engineers and representatives of construction companies, the forum is part of the global campaign "Colored Concrete Works™". This campaign emphasizes the versatile, esthetic and technical characteristics of concrete colored with Bayferrox® pigments through the collation and promotion of case studies, as well as the organization of symposiums and seminars – events that encourage interest in using colored concrete as a solution.
A highlight of the event was the presentation of Jesus Marino PASCUAL, an internationally recognized Spanish architect who has won awards for his work in colored concrete. One of his projects was the Bodega Antión (a winery which is also a study center and luxury hotel), in Spain. Also this building is colored with Bayferrox® pigments and part of the Colored Concrete Works campaign.
Besides him also Lutz KOHNERT, Head of the Global Competence Center Construction at LANXESS Inorganic Pigments held a presentation, focusing on how the LANXESS pigments can serve as a solution for coloring concrete.
During the discussion panel, moderated by Hugo Rodrigues (National Communications Manager at the Brazilian Portland Cement Association - ABCP) the group of specialists debated the trends in this field of application and the paths that should be taken in Brazil to develop the use of colored concrete solutions.
The event gathered together 150 guests, including architects, engineers, constructors, and journalists from the specialized media in Brazil.
"The forum is aiming to present international case studies, technology and technical application concepts for the pigment in concrete to the Brazilian market. Moreover, we would like to show the advantages and various application fields of such solutions and to promote open discussion through presentations and statements of international experts", says Lothar Schwarz, Sales and Marketing manager for Latin America at LANXESS’ Inorganic Pigment business unit.
